Our Mission

Proceeds from Ayame Kai Markets will directly benefit Keiro Northwest’s eldercare programs, including Nikkei Manor Assisted Living and the Kokoro Kai Adult Day Program. Your support helps provide essential services, cultural programs, and community care for our elders. Keiro Northwest’s mission is to honor the past and preserve the Japanese-American heritage, by providing uniquely tailored care programs to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our elders. Our senior care programs are only possible with the generous support from a community that values our Japanese American elders.

12:30 PM - Enjoy a performance by local favorite The Rolling Scones as they return to the Ayame Kai Summer Market with their fun and energetic ukulele music.

11 AM - Northwest Minyo Kai brings traditional Japanese folk music to life through singing, shamisen, shinobue, taiko, and more. Their performances celebrate the music often heard at festivals and community gatherings throughout Japan. Based in the greater Puget Sound area, the group welcomes anyone interested in learning and sharing the art of Minyo.

We’re excited to welcome local artists, makers, packaged food vendors, and small businesses to the Ayame Kai Summer Market!

Donate Items

We would be honored to include your donated item(s) as part of our market offerings. Donations may be used in a variety of ways, from contributing to our popular raffle baskets to helping the day run smoothly through supplies or refreshments that support our hardworking volunteers.

We are also accepting Japanese goods for Ayame Kai’s carefully curated resale booth. For safety and transport reasons, we kindly ask that Japanese dolls, items in glass cases, and framed/unframed artwork not be donated. Items will be accepted June 16-18th at Nikkei Manor from 10AM-2PM.  To help us maximize our fundraising efforts, we ask that all items be in good condition and thoughtfully selected.

Every contribution, big or small, helps make the Summer Market a meaningful and successful event for our community.
